To add finish-to-start lag between two tasks:

Select the line connecting the two tasks.

Choose Lag Time from the Task menu.



In the Lag Duration field, type the number of units of lag time you want to add between the end of the first task and the start of the second task.

Click OK.

You can specify the amount of time between the finish of one task and the start of another (finish-to-start lag), or the amount of time between the start of one task and the start of another (start-to-start 
lag).




Important: Lag time may affect some dates in the Schedule Chart, but it is only displayed on the dependency line between two tasks. Lag time is not part of—or the same as—task duration or resource duration.
